Heat Forming

For the best fit, the mount can be heat formed after printing.

Approximate forming temperatures:

• PETG / PETG CF: 75 to 90°C
• ABS / ABS CF: 90 to 105°C
• ASA / ASA CF: 95 to 110°C

Apply heat only to the side wings of the mount. Avoid heating the quick release interface to maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure a secure camera fit.

Heat the wings gradually and carefully shape them to match the mounting surface. Allow the mount to cool completely before applying the adhesive.

The temperatures above are intended as a general guide. Always follow the filament manufacturer’s recommendations, as forming temperatures may vary between brands.

Installation

1. Print the profile that best matches your application.
2. Heat form the side wings if necessary.
3. Clean the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol.
4. Apply a 25 mm 3M VHB adhesive pad.
5. Firmly press the mount onto the surface.
6. For maximum bond strength, allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before applying any load or mounting a camera.
